FEED THE CLAN - A Paleo Family on a Budget

Sunday Grocery Haul

I actually still have a good bit of veggies at home still so this week I went for more fun things like tomatillos. I was also able to get a different cut of beef which is always nice :) Total spent today came to $34.84. I’m adding $19.22 to the total to cover the grass-fed chuck roasts that I purchased last week so my new total is $54.06. This leaves me with $30.94 to stay within my $85/week budget. Here’s what I got:

Food 4 Less

2.06 lbs tomatillos = $.68
.10 lbs serrano peppers = $.10
3 avocados = $.99
4.54 lbs beef flap meat = $18.12
can of olives = $.98

Organic Roots Market

3 lb bag organic pink lady apples = $3.00
.91 lbs unsweetened banana chips = $1.88
bunch of organic cilantro = $1.29
.18 lbs organic jalapeno peppers = $1.08
1.5 lbs grass-fed ground beef = 2.93 (I had coupons for $6.50 off)
.97 lbs grass-fed beef liver = $3.79
