Family Chow 2/13/14 – With Meatza Bagels Recipe

Meatza Bagels

Breakfast for the girls today was yogurt with raisins, an apple and banana chips. Lunch was leftover Caribbean Spiced Salmon for my husband and I. The girls had some white rice noodles with a homemade cheese sauce and diced up leftover chicken.

These noodles really come in handy for when my husband and I have a spicy meal or not enough leftovers for lunch. Dinner tonight was meatza bagels. I thought it would be a fun way to change up meatza. The addition of ground grass-fed liver makes this super healthy and the toppings help to disguise the taste of the liver :) I love that these are portable and they taste good cold too!

Meatza Bagels

1.5 lbs pork chorizo
1.5 lbs grass-fed beef
1/2 lb grass-fed beef liver
3 eggs
2 tbsp Italian seasoning
2 tbsp smoked paprika
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp granulated garlic
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp ground fennel seeds

Toppings: tomato sauce, shredded cheese, mushrooms, etc

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl. Shape into 12 bagel shaped mounds and place onto a foil lined baking sheet like so:

Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and top with your sauce, cheese and your favorite toppings of choice. Broil for about 3 minutes.
